October Book Club Selection

Good Evening Lovelies!  And Happy October!

While we are a little behind in our Book Club activities, I still want to announce The Vintage Project Book Club selection for October.

October is one of my favorite months.  Halloween, Oktoberfest, the change of season, Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING!  But let's get back to the fact that it is this the only month where everyone embraces the darkside and vampires are EVERYWHERE!  We all know vampire lore and know to credit the picture of vampires that most of us have to Bram Stoker, but how many of us have actually READ Dracula?

I haven't.  And if you haven't either, here's your chance.

1st Edition cover
I have the feeling that the book club meeting for this novel is going to be FANTASTIC!!!  So, if you are looking to finally join the book club, I think this will be an excellent time to do so.

Happy Reading Lovelies!
XOXO!!!

  1. Great suggestion! Can a book club be just 2 people, because my sister and I are sort of each others book club! We live in different states so we make it a point to both read the same book and then have a Skype date and chat about it. You might like the book we read last month, called “The Children of Gavrilek” by Julie Kirtón Chandler, http://www.juliekirtonchandler.com. We loved it and I think it'd be a great book club read. Thanks for the "Dracula" suggestion, neither of us have read it so it might be a great book to pick up next!

    1. I currently only have 1 other person in my Book Club, but I considered it a book club when it was only me...I suppose I was optimistic that eventually others would join. I LOVE that you and your sister have virtual meetings via Skype, that's fantastic!

I have been trying to chose titles that are iconic in some way, or have some type of literary significance and Dracula is DEFINITELY one that fits into that category! Stoker created arguably the most iconic fictional character ever and I know very few people that have actually read Dracula! If you're local, you are more than welcome to join us for this, or future selections - we typically do some type of outing or activity for the meetings. Or if you want to just read the selections and leave me comments letting me know what your take was, that would be great too!
